Cadets, faculty remember military members with Forgotten Valor performance

Mar 27, 2025

The College held a Forgotten Valor performance on Tuesday in Eisenhower Hall. Cadets and faculty shared and performed tributes to men and women of the military services as well as their families.

“We started talking about a piece to somehow capture what this community is about,” said professor Dr. Gene R. Frank, who organized the event. “I suggested this idea of Forgotten Valor, a way to celebrate the sacrifices that men and women and their families. especially, make in the military because sometimes families get overlooked.”

Cadets and faculty were tasked with reaching out to their family, friends, neighbors, and others to gather stories ranging from serious and somber to lighthearted.

The performance weaved together memories and stories of family members of military members and soldiers in combat along with a roll call tribute to remember those who sacrificed and served, ranging from the time period of the Vietnam War to the present.

“I feel every soldier in America’s army is important and those who we don’t overlook, but sometimes disappear into history, it’s important to bring them up again and recognize the service and the dedication that they gave to this country,” Cadet Rachel Torres said.
