Cross Country: Trojans open season at Bryn Mawr Invitational

MEDIA, Pa. — The Valley Forge Military College men’s cross country team kicked off its season at Saturday’s Bryn Mawr Invitational, held at Rose Tree Park.

Freshman Felix Witcamp paced the Trojans in his first collegiate race, finishing 49th in the 76-runner field with a time of 22:06.7.

Sophomores Travis Lutz (22:27.6) and Daniel Schiele (22:29.8) followed closely behind with freshman Steven Marsh (24:23.8) rounding out the VFMC runners in the field.

The Trojans’ next competition is the Abington Invitational on Sept. 19, hosted by Penn State-Abington at Lorimer Park.
