The PA National Guard Military College Assistance Program (MCAP) provides full tuition coverage for all four undergraduate years, offering a tuition-free education to selected students. Limited to just 10 scholarships annually, this prestigious program allows participants to pursue their education while serving Pennsylvania and the nation.
Through this accelerated ROTC program, students earn an Associate Degree and attain the rank of Second Lieutenant in the PA National Guard.
This one-of-a-kind opportunity is available only at Valley Forge Military College.
MCAP Scholarships are awarded based on a student’s merit and grades, rather than financial need. The Scholarship includes:
Two years full tuition at VFMC
Two years full tuition at PASSHE school
Stipend of $420/month, freshman year
Stipend of $420/month, sophomore year
In addition, Valley Forge Military College will provide a grant to cover 100% of Room & Board while attending VFMC.
Commission as an officer in the PA Army National Guard two years ahead of traditional ROTC students.
VFMC offers 13 associate degrees in Arts and Science.
The National Guard offers a broad range of service options and job opportunities, including pathways to advanced degrees in medicine and law.
VFMC is the only Military Junior College designated by the US National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security as a Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense for two-year institutions.
MCAP Scholarship cadets can transfer to any Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) school with 100% tuition covered. For non-PASSHE schools in PA, the scholarship covers up to the equivalent of PASSHE tuition rates; any additional costs are the student’s responsibility.
VFMC’s Provost, Registrar, Academic Advisors, and Army Guard leadership provide students with transfer and career guidance, and connections to partner schools.
