Cadets Felix Witkamp (F Company) and Gabriel Arce (G Company) were recognized as the Plebes of the Month for August during Friday’s Opening Ceremony.

These plebes distinguished themselves during the first two weeks of the plebe system, demonstrating the qualities expected of a member of the Valley Forge Military College’s Corps of Cadets.

Plebe Witkamp comes to The Forge from Port St. Lucie, Fla. and is a member of the Army’s ROTC Early Commissioning Program. Cadet Arce hails from Bolivia, N.C. and came to VFMC as a wrestling recruit.

On Plebe Witkamp: “I recommend this Plebe for the Fox Company’s Plebe of the Month for having a proactive approach to entering into cadet life, displaying initiative while motivating others, for consistently exceeding the standards set forth for all VFMC Plebes, and for always leading by example during physical training.” — CDT Edmund Goldsberry, Fox Company Commander

On Plebe Arce: This Golf Company Plebe has been a constant and consistent motivator of both himself and his battle buddies. He is not just of a superior physical fitness caliber, but as a citizen leader, he is displaying incredibly high standards of military discipline.
