Oct 12, 2026
Cadets Kelven Oppong-Adjei (F Company) and Patrick Macauley (G Company) were recognized as the Plebes of the Month for September during Friday’s Character Development Chapel Speaker Series.
These plebes distinguished themselves during the final month of the plebe system, demonstrating the qualities expected of a member of the Valley Forge Military College’s Corps of Cadets.
Cadets Oppong-Adjei (Townsend, Del.) and Macauley (Exton, Pa.) are both members of the Army’s ROTC Early Commissioning Program. They have both also been standouts on the rugby team this fall.
On Cadet Oppong-Adjei: “I recommend this Plebe for the Fox Company’s Plebe of the Month for demonstrating continuous improvement throughout the entire Plebe period among the entire Plebe Class. He consistently embodies selfless service, has taken initiative to serve as a leader among his peers, and has shown exemplary expertise in knowing his cap shield!” — CDT Edmund Goldsberry, Fox Company Commander
On Cadet Macauley: “This Golf Company Plebe has consistently distinguished himself as a standout member of this year’s Plebe class. He carries himself with exceptional character, discipline, and military bearing, setting a positive example for those around him. His professionalism and willingness to uphold the standards expected of a cadet are evident in his daily actions. Beyond his individual performance, Plebe Macauley has earned the respect and appreciation of his fellow plebe brothers and sisters. He is well-liked, contributes positively to the morale and cohesion of the class, and his ability to lead by example make him a valuable member of the Corps of Cadets.” — CDT Robert Hoopes, Golf Company Commander
