Mar 05, 2025
Valley Forge Military College sent two teams to the Spartan Ranger Challenge from Feb. 27-March 1 in Fort Knox, Ky. The event brought together teams from around the country to navigate over 24 hours of competition and numerous challenging events.
The VFMC A team finished as the top Military Junior College at the event, marking the third straight year our cadets finished as the top MJC. Congrats to Cadets Brown, Torres, Ogle, Hagadorn, Collman, Milian, Hocog, Park, Triant, Taku, and Young on their accomplishment.
Our VFMC B team of Cadets Anderson, Blevins, Stanley, McCoy, Courtney, Lewis, Kepple, Clayton, Fonseca, Stephens, and Cournoyer kept pace not far behind. Well done!
Ranger Challenge is the varsity sport of ROTC. A Ranger Challenge Team consists of nine cadets, two alternates and at least one female who train throughout the school year.
The Spartan Ranger Challenge is the culmination of that training as teams compete against each other in events like: patrolling, marksmanship, weapons assembly, one-rope bridge, grenade assault course, Army Physical Fitness Test, land navigation, and a ten-kilometer road march.
