Valley Forge Military College Unveils New Athletic Logo, Ushering in a Modern Era for Trojan Athletics
Jan 29, 2026
Valley Forge Military College (VFMC) today announced the launch of its new athletic logo, a modernized take on the College’s iconic Trojan identity that reflects both tradition and forward momentum as VFMC continues to expand its athletic programs.
The refreshed logo features a bold, contemporary Trojan design paired with the institution’s official blue and red color palette, reinforcing a consistent and unified brand standard across all Trojan athletic teams.
“This new logo represents more than a visual update, it represents the future of Valley Forge Military College athletics,” said Colonel Stuart B. Helgeson, USMC (Ret.), President of VFMC. “As we continue to grow our athletic offerings and invest in our student-athletes, it was important that our brand reflect strength, discipline, and pride in our institution.”
The logo development was led by a cross-campus committee made up of faculty, students, and staff, ensuring broad input and alignment with VFMC’s mission and culture.
Committee members included:
-
Michael Blymier, Director of Marketing & Communications
-
Owen McCue, Digital Media Specialist
-
Robert Hjerling, Head Wrestling Coach
-
Gabriel Voumard, Senior College Tac
-
Robert Smith, Provost
-
Delila Matara, Assistant Professor of English and Humanities
-
Makyla Williams, Cadet
-
Benjamin Cournoyer, Cadet
“Our goal was to create a strong, timeless athletic identity that feels modern while staying true to who we are,” said Michael Blymier, Director of Marketing & Communications at VFMC. “In addition to aligning the Trojan logo with our institutional colors and establishing clear brand standards, it was important that the logo is visually compelling in today’s digital-first world. Together, this creates consistency across every sport as we continue to bring programs back and expand Trojan athletics.”
The new athletic logo made its on-mat debut last week, as the VFMC wrestling program became the first Trojan team to wear the updated mark during its opening dual meet of the season, marking a symbolic start to a new era of VFMC wrestling.
The logo will be rolled out across uniforms, facilities, digital platforms, merchandise, and marketing materials in the coming months. It will serve as the official mark for all VFMC athletic programs moving forward.
As Valley Forge Military College continues to reintroduce and grow its sports offerings, the updated Trojan identity reflects the College’s commitment to excellence, tradition, and a strong, unified presence both on and off the field.
