Valley Forge Military College Joins Prestigious West Point Preparatory Scholarship Program

Valley Forge Military College (VFMC), the Military College of Pennsylvania™, is proud to announce its official partnership with the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) as an approved institution in the West Point Preparatory Scholarship Program (WPPSP). This collaboration offers a new pathway for aspiring cadets to prepare for admission to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

As the only private military junior college in the northeastern United States and one of just four nationwide, Valley Forge Military College is uniquely positioned to support WPPSP candidates. VFMC provides a structured, military-focused academic environment that emphasizes leadership development, personal discipline, and readiness for the demands of service academies like West Point.

The addition of VFMC to the WPPSP underscores the college’s commitment to excellence in military education and leadership training. It affirms Valley Forge’s role as a proven launching point for future military officers, providing cadets with the structure, discipline, and academic rigor needed to succeed at the United States Military Academy and beyond.

Established in 1979, the WPPSP provides partial scholarships for a year of post-secondary education at select preparatory schools and military junior colleges. The program targets highly motivated young individuals seeking admission to West Point, offering an alternative to the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS). Candidates benefit from small class sizes, rigorous academics, and structured environments that foster leadership and discipline.
