Mr. Michael Blymier

VP Marketing, Communications & Enrollment

Michael Blymier serves as Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Enrollment at Valley Forge Military College, where he leads the College’s marketing, communications, brand and enrollment efforts.

 

Blymier brings nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit communications, marketing and brand strategy. His background includes digital marketing, media relations, content development, institutional storytelling and enrollment-focused communications.

 

Before joining Valley Forge, Blymier served as Marketing & Communications Officer for The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC), where he oversaw the organization’s marketing and communications strategy and worked to expand its visibility throughout the region.

 

Prior to joining TFEC, Blymier spent 12 years at Franklin & Marshall College, including nearly a decade as Director of Athletic Communications. He led strategic communications for the College’s 27-sport athletics program, with responsibility extending beyond traditional media relations to alumni engagement, fundraising communications, donor stewardship and communications supporting major athletics capital projects. He worked closely with institutional leadership, advancement, coaches and alumni to strengthen the visibility of F&M Athletics, support philanthropic priorities and build deeper connections with key constituencies. His work also encompassed brand strategy, digital communications, publications, live events and major departmental initiatives.

 

At Valley Forge, Blymier has focused on strengthening the College’s brand, expanding its digital marketing and recruitment efforts, and aligning marketing, communications and enrollment around a unified strategy for institutional growth. He has also helped lead the modernization of the College’s visual identity and athletics brand.

 

Blymier holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. His additional professional development includes Digital Marketing through Cornell University, Advanced Social Media Strategy through the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, as well as Leadership Harrisburg Area’s Community Leadership Series and Board Strong programs.
