LTC John Meier commissioned from the University of Kansas ROTC program as a Field Artillery Officer in 2008. His assignments include 1st Armored Division, 10th Mountain Division, Central Command, 4th Infantry Division, and his most recent assignment at the Joint Multi-National Readiness Center at Hohenfels, Germany. He attended basic at Fort Sill and is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and School of Advanced Military Studies programs at Fort Leavenworth. He has multiple operational deployments and awards in over 17 years of active duty service and assumed Professor of Military Science of Valley Forge Military College in May 2025.
