Cadet Awarded White Star For Life Saving Action

Cadet Emily Teel was awarded the White Star on Friday, March 6 during a promotions ceremony. The award is one of the institution’s most prestigious honors for acts of exceptional bravery that are clearly above and beyond the actions expected of any cadet.
During a critical moment, Cadet Teel acted quickly, remained calm under pressure, and demonstrated extraordinary courage. Her decisive actions directly result in saving another person’s life.
“When the moment came, Cadet Teel didn’t freeze — she moved,” said Major Gabe Voumard, Senior TAC Officer. “That courage saved a life.”
Cadet Teel was also one of 10 Cadets who the Cadet Regimental Commander recognized for their promotion in rank, earning the promotion to Cadet Corporal.
