Institutional aid is awarded to help meet a student’s remaining financial need after all federal, state, and external aid has been applied. In accordance with Title IV regulations, institutional aid cannot exceed a student’s total cost of attendance when combined with all other sources of financial assistance. Therefore, institutional scholarships may be reduced if a student receives additional grants or outside scholarships that reduce their calculated unmet need.
